Texas Set Up for 2014 Title Run

The University of Texas wrestling club enjoyed the finest season in its 16-year history during the 2012-13 campaign. It’s been a long climb for one the inaugural members of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association to finally reach the top 10 for the first time. NCWA Names All-Academic Team

DALLAS – The National Collegiate Wrestling Association, in conjunction with the National Wrestling Coaches Association, honored 152 wrestlers with certificates this week recognizing them as its top student-athletes for the 2012-13 season. This season’s NCWA All-Academic Team contains scholars from 66 schools from the NCWA’s combined Division I and Division II ranks. The women’s division honored six student-athletes. Read More

Based on the standings from last month’s NCWA Championships, a handful of new programs are already poised to compete on par with those with more NCWA tenure. Which makes for a wild, wild west in the 2013-14 season if Central Washington, Montana Western, Sacramento State and USC can repeat seasons that saw all four programs finish in the top 17 in the NCWA’s Division II for emerging programs. MIT Concludes Historic 100th year in Grand Fashion
